Emotions Poem - Anger

Anger is fire red.
It tastes like a knuckle sandwich.
It smells like nothing.
It looks like a fist in your face.
It sounds like a mad bull.
It feels like a dragon breathing fire on your fist with the acceleration of a cheetah.

Emotions Poetry - Jealousy

Jealousy is light pink
It tastes like war
And smells like half a dirty orange
Jealousy looks like something you don’t have
It sounds like a broken gear turning
And feels like a dirty pillow.

Emotions Poetry - Love

love is like cherry red.
it tastes like rich chocolate.
it smells sweet.
it looks like a heart.
it sounds like laughing.
it makes me feel safe.

Emotions Poetry - Shyness

shyness is blue
shyness tastes like marshmallow
and it smells like a dark cave,
it looks like somebody hiding
shyness sounds like nothing
shyness feels like you’re trapped in a jar.

Emotions Poetry - Fury

fury is dark red like blood
fury tastes like spicy hot food that makes your mouth feel like its on fire
fury looks like a bull charging
fury sounds like a bomb exploding
fury feels like sandpaper but even rougher

Emotions Poetry - Anger

Anger
Anger is black, as black as the night like a blanket on the earth.
It tastes sour, as sour as a lemon that glistens with dew.
Anger smells like a dead possum, lifeless, it’s life taken by some tragic accident.
Anger looks like a bull charging, snorting it's muscles flexing.
Anger sounds like a bubbly volcano ready to explode.
Anger feels like a pot bubbling going to bubble over – those bubbles are temper ready to spring at someone unworthy…

Emotions Poetry - Nervousness

Nervousness is a slimy green colour.
It taste like spiders crawling down my throat.
And smells like sweaty socks.
It looks like trouble coming strait towards me.
Nervousness sounds like a gurgling tummy.
It feel like my tummy's a washing machine.

Run, Throw, Jump Programme

Mark is back!  We had our first session with Mark today.  The children have remembered the techniques well from last year and have started well in their practice for Athletics.  It's great to be outside enjoying the lovely weather.

ROOM 5 PORTRAITS

We have been doing self portraits for art.  We started by drawing a plan on a scrap piece of paper, making out all the proportions of the face.  Next we got our good piece of paper out and started drawing.  This time we added colour, the neck and the shirt.  They turned out great!

A couple of weeks a go we did some self portraits they all look spectacular. I never seen such amazing art work.  Some of the steps took a lot of concentration.  The first step was to get a normal pencil and a A5 piece of paper and practice ovals so we can draw a spectacular head. The second step was to get our art pencil and do a practice picture of ourselves.  Then we got to do the master piece. We had to draw really lightly so if we made a mistake we could rub it out.  And once we finished and coloured it in, it looked beautiful. What an amazing turn out it was.  A short and fun process,  I loved it!

Our first art project has been drawing a portrait of ourselves to go up in our classroom.  We have been looking at the proportions of faces.  Here are some photos of those completed so far.  Keep checking back to see those as they are finished.

Here we go!

What a fantastic first day we had at school today.  Here is the new look Room 5 class.  They are a wonderful group of 8/9/10 year olds and I will enjoy every moment getting to know them as individuals.  We look forward to sharing our learning with all our viewers.
